"Eco-visual approach" Personal exhibition of Evmorfia Ghika Rahouti



The Gallery Karouzou in Zurich, having the promotion of Greek artists abroad as one of its goals, presents the new series of collages by Evmorfia Ghika Rahouti on Thursday, August 23, 2018.
The exhibition has the title "Eco-visual approach".
The Greek artist lives and works in Lugano for the last six years and this is her fourth individual exhibition in Switzerland with social and ecological content.
About the artworks of the exhibition, the academic teacher, architect and former professor of the department of painting of the School of Fine Arts of Rome, Prof. Nunzio Solendo, notes:
...Evmorfia Ghika Rahouti 's "collage paintings" are described by effective and high creativity, freedom, emotions, dynamic coloring, originality, complex depiction and Greek - Mediterranean culture. The conception of the idea and its creation was actively experienced in the urban reality of Lugano, with expressive harmony of a seeming abstraction, with skill and mastery of "Visual Art". Landscapes that bring imagination to life”.
Evmorfia Ghika Rachouti, born in Greece, studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome and Venice and specialized in the restoration of artworks at the “Opificio delle Pietre Dure e Laboratori di Restauro, Florence”.
She has exhibited in numerous group or solo exhibitions and international art collections around the world. She is open to new trends, she uses painting techniques combined with collage and she experiments using a set of diverse materials and different media such as photography, installations and new digital art media.
Her works are refereeing to the harmonious coexistence with the nature and the interdependence of everyone in the Universe, with subjects in which her Greek origins are recognized, the classical education, the artistic passage from the visual culture of Italy, as well as its intercultural contact with other places and people.
